Helen Fausnaught

With nearly two decades of experience, Helen Fausnaught has established herself as a leader in assisting buyers and sellers with real estate transactions. Prior to relocating to Sussex County, Fausnaught was a resident of York, Pa. She earned her license in 1992 and broker designation in 1997, when she opened her own independent office. Fausnaught is now working directly with buyers and sellers in the Delaware beach area.

Fausnaught, a licensed auctioneer, also has extensive expertise in the foreclosure process. She is well-versed in the procedures and paperwork involved in completing these complex, detailed transactions. In addition, her 19 years of experience have given her a broad perspective of the industry, affording Fausnaught the desired combination of longevity and a true passion for real estate.

Professional development has always been a priority for Fausnaught, who has successfully completed numerous training courses through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition, she is a member of the Graduate REALTOR^® Institute (GRI is the designation for higher education in real estate), National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR), and the Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS^® (PAR), among others. She completed extensive training to become a Licensed Auctioneer in 1997 and has worked many successful general auctions. Fausnaught looks forward to the many membership opportunities available in Delaware.

A long-time visitor to Sussex County, Fausnaught is a resident of Rehoboth, where she lives with her family, including three children. Fausnaught is also looking forward to opportunities to work with the community, as she did in Pennsylvania. A volunteer mentor for the Big Brother/Big Sister Program in York County, Fausnaught also fostered several children before adopting her own.

Additionally, Fausnaught is a well-known and highly regarded high school softball coach in York County, having led varsity teams from 1991 to 2003 and boasting a career record of 122-63 and coach-of-the-year honors three times. She coached Eastern York High School from 1991 to 2000, then Penn Manor High School from 2001 to 2003. Her teams won four York County division titles and made eight district appearances. A graduate and standout softball player from Bloomsburg University, Fausnaught was selected to the Pennsylvania State All Conference team three times and her team earned the Pennsylvania State softball title the same three years. Additionally, in 1990, Fausnaught was part of the Husky team that made it to the Final Four of the NCAA National Softball Tournament, finishing third overall.
